New Research On Plant-Based Diets and Mortality

Read Time:1 Minute, 10 Second

There has always been debate on the benefits of plant-based diets, but a new study has provided evidence that these dietary preferences could help extend your life.

The research, conducted by Harvard University, followed over 70,000 individuals for an average of 25 years and compared their mortality rates to those who were following diverse types of dietary patterns. The results were striking – it was found that people who adhered to a whole-foods plant-based diet had significantly lower mortality rates than those who did not.

What makes this finding so interesting is that the risk reduction was not linked to any major lifestyle changes; just simply eliminating animal products from one’s diet led to greater health benefits. In fact, the researchers found that plant-based diets might even be more beneficial than vegetarian and vegan diets because they focus heavily on whole foods such as fruits & veggies which are naturally low in processed sugars/trans fats and full of essential vitamins & minerals.

These findings should be taken into consideration when thinking about your overall health and nutrition plan – after all there is no single best approach but rather a combination of strategies you can use to better yourself physically and mentally each day! So, if you are looking for ways to reduce your mortality rate then a well-planned out plant-based diet could be worth considering!
