Are you looking to start the Paleo Diet but do not know where to begin? With so much information out there, it can be overwhelming to know how to get started. Here are some tips & tricks for beginning your journey into the Paleo Diet.

Starting Your Paleo Diet: The first step is to become familiar with which foods are allowed on the Paleo Diet, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts/seeds, and healthy fats such as olive oil and coconut oil. Additionally occasional animal proteins like wild-caught fish and grass-fed organ meats can be included. It is important to focus on quality over quantity – aim for fresh organic produce whenever possible! Once you have determined what types of foods are allowed it will be much easier to create a meal plan that works best for you.

Eating Out On The Paleo Diet: Once all the basics are taken care of it is time to put your knowledge into practice! Eating out can be tricky with any diet, particularly with one that has specific guidelines such as the paleo diet. However, it can not only be done, but enjoyed! When eating out look for establishments that provide natural or organic options (such as grass-fed beef or wild caught fish). If organic options are not available do not worry – simply ask your server about substitutions or if certain ingredients can be omitted (e.g., no cheese on your salad!). Most restaurants will be accommodating and supportive of dietary restrictions and preferences so do not feel intimidated about asking for modifications.

Overall starting out on the Paleo Diet does not need to be a daunting experience – with a little bit of preparation & planning you will have no trouble in finding delicious meals fit for your lifestyle!
