Nutritarian Diet Review: My Problems With Fuhrman’s Approach

The Nutritarian Diet – sometimes referred to as the “Dr. Fuhrman Diet” – is a plant-based approach to eating designed to provide maximum nutrition while still focusing on sustainable and ethical food production. This way of eating promotes nutrient density, meaning that you get more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from your food than other diets.

On the Nutritarian Diet, plant-based foods such as nuts, seeds, legumes, vegetables, and fruits are the mainstay of meals and snacks. Processed or refined foods are generally excluded except for whole grains; meat, poultry and fish are also not part of this diet though animal products such as eggs can be used in moderation.

The primary benefit of this diet is that it encourages consumption of high-quality foods which can provide the body with essential nutrients like fiber, protein, and omega 3 fatty acids that most people need for optimal health. Additionally, it has been found that following this type of eating pattern can lead to lower risk factors for chronic diseases like heart disease & stroke as well as help with weight loss due to its emphasis on plant-based proteins & carbohydrates!

Overall if you are looking for a more plant-based approach to healthy eating then the Nutritarian Diet may be a great fit! It is important, however, to make sure you understand all aspects of this diet before getting started so you know exactly what you should & should not be eating to get all your required nutrients while still maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
